“Sorry, I take Allah beg you”, security officer cries as terrorists abduct, beat him
CITIZENS COMPASS— A disturbing video has surfaced online capturing some suspected terrorists mercilessly beating a man believed to be an officer with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) shortly after his abduction.
The incident was said to have occurred in Ekiti State.
A social commentator and activist, Rinu Oduala, raised the alarm on social media.
Ofuala also raised the alarm calling on security apparatus in Nigeria to rescue the officer.
In one of the posts, the social commentator said the abducted officer was filmed by his abductors while being assaulted, adding that no visible rescue operation had been launched as of the time of her statement.
“A NSCDC officer has been reportedly kidnapped in Ekiti, Nigeria by terrorists who released this video brutally beating him. Till now, security agencies are yet to launch a search for him,” she wrote.
A video of the incident monitored by our Correspondent captured some armed men believed to be bandits mercilessly beating the man who sat on the ground crying for help.
The man was dressed in blue trousers with underwear.
As he could not withstand the beating, he was seen rolling on the ground pleading for leniency saying, “I don dey look. Sorry, I use Allah beg you,”
Citizens Compass reported that suspected kidnappers have reportedly abducted an Inspector of Police in Akoko Edo, in Edo North area of Edo State.
Four other victims were kidnapped alongside the officer.
The incident occurred on Sunday, February 8, 2026 in two separate incidents which was confirmed in a statement by the National Coordinator, Movement for the Advancement of Akoko Edo People, Bode Ekundayo, noting that the first two kidnappings took place at the Makeke community health centre, where the gunmen kidnapped Tope Oriloye, a female secondary school student and Samuel Ilesanmi, who had rushed his son to the health centre with his wife.
At press time, there was no official statement from the Ekiti State Commands of both the Nigeria Police Commands and that of NSCDC.
