Yoruba Indigenes Foundation felicitates with Awujale on 64th coronation anniversary 

 

CITIZENS COMPASS —The President of Yoruba Indigenes Foundation (YIF), Dr Olumide Aderibole, has felicitated with the Paramount ruler of Ijebu Land, Oba Dr Sikiru Kayode Adetona, on the occasion of his 64th Coronation anniversary.

In a press statement signed by Mr Sanjo Olawuyi, the Director of Communications and Strategies of Yoruba Indigenes Foundation. Aderibole said “the Six decades of reign of Awujale of Ijebu Land, Oba Dr Sikiru Kayode Adetona, is characterised with an array of monumental progress and development, not only in Ijebu Ode, but also in all the surrounding towns and villages of Ijebu Ode.”

The Foundation said further,” His charismatic leadership style was pivotal and instrumental in fostering peace, attracting infrastructure and commercial growth of his domain.

“ Oba Dr Adetona is overtly identified with lots of philanthropic initiatives in his domain and beyond, this is an attestation to his public spirited efforts.

“Being one of the foremost custodian of traditional leadership in Nigeria. The Awujale succeeds in introducing innovations into his style of traditional rulership and governance. This gesture is giving direction in the commuty of traditional institutions and governance in Nigeria.

“Pragmatically, Oba Dr. Adetona’s reign is recognized for developing Ojude Oba Festival into a mega Venture, with stream of projects, which are not only enjoying a strategic position in the tourism map of the world, but also generating substantial Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) for Ogun State government.

“Long live Oba Dr Sikiru Kayode Adetona.”
