CITIZENS COMPASS— The Yoruba Nation’s agitator, Oloye Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho, on Sunday, updated members of the public following the attack of his team at the Old National Park in Oyo State.
Citizens Compass reported that suspected gunmen opened fire on Igboho and members of Iru Ekun, a local security company owned by Igboho who were in the forest insearch of the students and teachers of some Ogbomosho schools in the State.
Some members of Iru Ekun were said to have sustained gunshots following the incident.
Igboho gave the update in a viral video saying that his team would not relent until bandits were flushed out of the forests in Yorubaland.
The video captured Igboho clad in a pair of trousers and T-shirt courageously addressing his supporters.
According to the Yoruba Nation’s agitator: I greet my fathers and mothers, I am your son, Sunday Igboho, I greet my brothers and sisters all over the world. Today is 28/6/26, there have been all manner of rumours before now but I am seizing the opportunity to tell my fans that I am hail and hearty and all my members that were attacked have recuperated.
Like a Yoruba proverb that says, ‘bí iná ò bá tán l’áṣọ, ẹ̀jẹ̀ kìí tan léèkánná (As long as lice remain on one’s clothes, blood can’t cease from one’s finger nails), we are against banditry in Yorubaland.
