100 level student in critical condition, allegedly stabbed by male friend

CITIZENS COMPASS— A 100-level student of the newly named Southern Delta University simply identified as Bisi is now in a critical condition after being stabbed by a male friend.
The incident occurred in the school auditorium after she headed to an invite by her friend.
The assailant, a boy, was said to have stabbed her twice and put a call to the deceased’s family to demand for a N2m ransom.
Spokesperson, Delta State Police Command, Edafe Bright, shared the details in a video which was accompanied by an inscription;
“Its so sad that some of our boys due to a lack of home training are cutting short the lives of innocent girls. She is a 100-level student of the newly named Southern Delta University. The suspect who was armed with a kitchen knife asked her to meet him at the school auditorium where he stabbed her twice in her neck and chest. He later used the girl’s phone to call the father and demand for ransom.”
The video said, “ I am SP Edafe Bright, and this is Delta State Police Command. With me is a phone and what was supposed to be a knife but turned out to be a weapon in an attempt to murder a 100-level student of the newly named Southern Delta University in Uzoro.
“On the 14th of June to be precise, the suspect we have here invited someone he claimed to be his friend, her name is Bisi. He will be the one to explain to us his intention and why he went to that auditorium.”
Edafe explained that after the suspect executed his plan, he took the girl’s phone, called the family to demand for N2m ransom.
The boy was said to have asked the family to make an initial payment of N200,000. Unfortunately for him, the girl in question survived the incident and her assailant was arrested by the Police.
The suspect later corroborated the details by Edafe.
He denied intimacy with the girl.
