Police arrest four over Ojota violence

CITIZENS COMPASS– THE Lagos police command say it has arrested four suspects over the violence at a rally organised by some members of a Yoruba self determination group in Ojota, Lagos State.

However, Professor Banji Akintoye, one of the leaders of Ilana Omo Oodua, alleged that police officers killed two agitators during the “peaceful” rally.

On Tuesday, Spokesperson, Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, in his tweets said four persons have been arrested in connection with the violence.

He identified the suspects as Olatunji Abatan, Nwosa Henry, Ganiyu Sakajojo, and Afees Adekoya.

“The suspects arrested yesterday: Olatunji Abatan, Nwosa Henry, Ganiyu Sakajojo, Afees Adekoya. Investigation is ongoing at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Yaba, Lagos,”
