CITIZENS COMPASS— Wife of the Founder of Church-Life In Christ Gospel Ministries, Azuqueca De Henares, area of Madrid, Spain,

Mrs Folakemi Adeniyi, on Sunday, admonished Christians to live a healthy life.

Speaking on the topic “Healthy living,” She said that by doing so, they would be far from avoidable health challenges bedeviling many people.

Speaking during the Sunday school class during the church’s Sunday programme, she said that a healthy way of life is better than managing health challenges.

Quoting from Daniel 1:12–15, and 1 Corinthians 10:31, Adeniyi charged the congregation to emulate the Biblical Daniel and his team who for ten days, denied themselves of “the portion of the king’s meat” which inturn brought about a fairer and fatter flesh, ‘And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king’s meat,’

“Adopt eating more vegetables and drinking more water and not fall into avoidable health challenges,”

The pastor’s wife said that managing health challenges is expensive compared with healthy living.

She said, “Drink more water and regularly eat vegetables and stay away from processed foods to avoid untimely deaths.”

While urging them to prioritise their food intakes, she said, “It is easier to live healthy than to maintain sickness because it is only a healthy person that can serve God regularly. Sicknesses will cost you time, money, mental health and restrict your activities.”

Adeniyi encouraged them to minimise intake of sugary foods, “Stay away from sugary foods.

Be mindful of your genotype, sugar level, and give your body the right foods.

“Stay away from unhealthy lifestyles that can hamper your productivity.

Many church members who are supposed to be active for God’s services are on the sick bed. Try to maintain regular exercise.

“When you are healthy, you will be productive because no company will want to hire a sick worker.

Many people have cut short their lives due to their intake.

“Do regular exercises. The fact that you can afford some foods does not mean they are healthy.

Stay away from alcoholic drinks because they may damage your outlook and your internal organs.

Note that some food intakes are detrimental to your health.

Above all, heed the doctor’s advice.”

In conclusion, she said that food is medicinal to all.

In his sermon, the Founder, Olabanji Adeniyi charged the congregation to pay their treasure in heaven.

He quoted from Matthew 6:19-21 and

Matthew 6:10.
