Anthony Joshua defeats Jake Paul

CITIZENS COMPASS— In what seems like a show of strength, heavy weight champion, Anthony Joshua, has defeated his opponent, Jake Paul in a professional boxing match.

Not only that Joshua defeated Paul, the former also broke the latter’s jaw as blood was seen gushing out.

The fight was expected to last for eight rounds but Joshua displayed a show of strength and knocked Paul out during the sixth round.

The boxing competition started like a child’s play as Paul adopted some tactics to pull Joshua down but the latter remained standing and waxed strong.

The fight took place on December 19, 2025, at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, United States of America.

Joshua has been absent from the ring since a brutal knockout loss to Daniel Dubois in September 2024 and was linked with a string of big-name fights before agreeing to face Paul in Miami this weekend.

On Saturday, Paul took to his X formerly known as Twitter and posted: Just got out of surgery. Everything went smoothly. Thanks for all the love. Lots of pain and stiffness. Gotta eat liquids for 7 days

S/o to the amazing team at Miami University hospital. Everyone was so gracious and caring.

Speaking with journalists shortly after the fight, Joshua expressed his profound love for Africa saying, “I am a Yoruba man from Nigeria. I am an African.”
