CITIZENS COMPASS– A woman from Melbourne shared a shocking story about her marriage that lasted just one hour.
She told a radio show how her husband disappeared right after their wedding ceremony, leaving her alone before the reception even started.
Kylie said, “I had a really short marriage. It wasn’t even 24 hours.” She explained that they had been together for six years and seemed to have a happy future. Their wedding looked perfect, and guests were ready to celebrate.
However, as soon as they finished the ceremony and took photos, her new husband vanished. She said, “We had the ceremony, did the photos – he was beautiful during the photoshoot, he was the love of my life. And then he just disappeared. I didn’t hear from him for months.”
Despite his absence, the reception went on without guests knowing what happened. Kylie said, “Everyone was fine to stay and party the whole night – but I went back to my room by myself.” She revealed, “He didn’t want to be with me. He was seeing somebody else [the whole time], but he let us get married.”
The pain grew worse when family members called to ask about the honeymoon or congratulate them. Kylie said, “It was really hard, especially talking to family members [who called to ask about the new husband the next day]. But we laugh about it now.”
Later, Kylie found out the man was cheating with her own cousin. She said, “He’s with my cousin now – he was cheating on me with her. I don’t see him or my cousin. That would be really awkward.”
Despite everything, Kylie has found some humor in the situation. She shared, “My kids think it’s hilarious – it’s brought up all the time.” When asked if she remarried, she quickly answered “no.”
Her story surprised many listeners, who reacted with shock after hearing her on the radio. Though her marriage lasted less than a day, Kylie’s experience left a lasting impression.
