CITIZENS COMPASS—A few hours after a 100-level student of Taraba State University (TSU), Comfort Jimtop Oliver, was found dead in a suspicious manner in her boyfriend’s house, the boyfriend has also died in similar circumstances.
The boyfriend, Emmanuel Kefas, was said to be found dead somewhere.
Recall that empty bottles of hard drinks were discovered beside the bed where Oliver’s body was laid.
Citizens Compass reported that her body was recovered in Jalingo on Friday.
Emmanuel was a fresh graduate of Human Kinetics from TSU’s 2024 set.
He was also found dead in Tudiri, near the state capital. Locals suspect he may have taken his own life following the incident involving Oliver.
The lovers were both residents of Bakasi near the Vice Chancellor’s Gate in Jalingo.
They reportedly lived about 200 meters apart, close to Dr. Rapha Memorial Guest Inn.
Oliver, who hailed from Takum Local Government Area and was from the Kuteb ethnic group, had only recently begun her academic journey before the tragedy struck.
Police authorities in the state have confirmed the incident, noting that investigations were underway to unravel the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
