CITIZENS COMPASS—Residents of Plateau State are currently mourning the former Military Governor of the State, Colonel Muhammad Mana (rtd.), who died on Saturday.

He died after a brief illness.

The deceased was the Military Administrator of the State between 1993 and 1996.

Mana was also a former Senator representing Adamawa North. In his tributes, the sitting Governor governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, has described the passing of the retired colonel as “a painful loss to his family, Plateau people, and the nation at large.”

Mutfwang, in his condolence message, highlighted Mana’s contributions to peace, unity, and growth during his time in office. He noted that the late governor’s wisdom and leadership qualities would be greatly missed, especially in a period when Nigeria is still grappling with the search for stability.

On behalf of his family, the government, and the people of Plateau State, Governor Mutfwang extended his condolences to the bereaved family, praying that God grants them the strength to bear the loss.
