Immigration, Amotekun clash in Osun

CITIZENS COMPASS – SOUNDS of gunshots reportedly rented some parts of Osogbo, the Osun State capital on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, following a clash between men of the Nigeria Immigration Service and Amotekun Corps.

The reason behind the clash could not be ascertained at press time but it was said to have happened in front of Amotekun command office, Oke-Fia.

The clash as gathered forced shop owners to run for their lives as both sides fired guns sporadically into the air.

When Vanguard visited the scene, stern looking armed Amotekun Corps officers were in front of the command though they did not allow anyone to access the building.

However, it was gathered that top officials of both sides were in a meeting to resolve the crisis.
