Ode-Idahosa drums support for Victor Osaro Ojo as chairman of Ovia North East Local Government Area
CITIZENS COMPASS—The Secretary-General, Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation (NIDO) African Continental, Sir JP Hamzaosa Ode-Idahosa, on Tuesday, urged the residents of Edo State particularly the people of Ovia to support Comrade Victor Osaro Ojo, as he offers himself to serve as Chairman of Ovia North East Local Government Area.
Ode-Idahosa drummed the support in a statement made available to Citizens Compass.
The statement commended Comrade Ojo for his courage, vision, and strong determination to bring his diaspora-acquired expertise and international experience back home in service of grassroots development.
The Secretary-General described Ojo as a shining example of the new Edo generation who believes in transforming their global exposure into practical solutions for the benefit of the homeland.
In his words, “The diaspora community is one of Edo’s greatest untapped assets, Amb. Ode-Idahosa stated.
“Comrade Victor Osaro Ojo represents the bold step we must take as a people to channel our diaspora experience, education, and expertise into building our communities. His candidacy is not only about Ovia North East, it is about the Edo project, about reclaiming our pride, and about showing that leadership can be both visionary and accountable.
“Amb. Ode-Idahosa further emphasized that Edo State’s progress requires a synergy between home-based citizens and the global Edo family. By rallying behind competent, diaspora-influenced leaders like Comrade Ojo, Edolites can strengthen local governance, inspire the youth, and accelerate sustainable development at the grassroots.
