Teacher killed by bandits laid to rest in Osogbo

CITIZENS COMPASS— A 48-year-old teacher, Adesiyan Adegboye, who was killed by bandits was on Friday, laid to rest in Osogbo, Oyo State.

Tears flowed freely when his remains arrived for the funeral rites at Ayegun Baptist Church, Ogbomoso,

Adegboye met his untimely death on Friday, when the bandits launched an attack on schools in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

Following the attack, the Oyo State Government suspended all school excursions, field trips, sports competitions, and outdoor activities in the area.

Until his death , Adegboye was an assistant headmaster in his school.

Video clips and photographs from the event captured a host of sympathisers and mourners including an elderly woman who was visibly captured shedding tears.

It was a solemn gathering as the body was laid to rest.
