CITIZENS COMPASS—In a symbolic way to promote girl-child education, the Vice President of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima, on Tuesday, said he temporarily stepped aside from his seat.

Shettima said the historic step took place on Tuesday, in his office.

He disclosed this on his X page formerly known as Twitter.

““We are building a nation where every Nigerian entrepreneur — from our cities to our rural communities — has access to the tools and opportunities needed to thrive. This is the spirit of enterprise that will drive Nigeria’s renewed hope,” he declared.

Senator @KashimSM stated this on Tuesday when he launched the 9th Expanded National MSME Clinic (@msmeclinicsng) in Katsina State, just as he announced President @officialABAT’s approval of the Federal Government’s ₦250,000 grant for each outstanding Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) exhibiting at the Clinic.”

The post was accompanied by some pictures out of which a teenage girl sat on the Vice President’s chair as he temporarily stepped aside to accommodate the gesture.

This took place at the Presidential Villa, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
