Yoruba Nation: Sunday Igboho regains freedom, travels to Germany

YORUBA Nation agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularlly called Sunday Igboho has regained his freedom in Benin Republic.

This is contrary to the moves by Nigeria government that the agitator should be repatriated to Nigeria by Benin Republic.

Sunday Adeyemo’s release was confirmed in a statement by The Yoruba Nation Global Directorate, signed by Directorate Coordinator for information, Otunba Demola Edwards.

The statement expressed appreciation to the government and people of Benin Republic for their intervention in the release of the human rights activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho.

At press time, the agitator was said to be on his way to Germany to continue the agitation.

He was said to be in company of his wife when he surrendered himself to law enforcement agency over migration issues.

The statement reads, “The Yoruba Nation Global Directorate has expressed its appreciation to the government and people of Benin Republic for their intervention in the release of the human rights activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho.

“In a statement released Tuesday afternoon signed by its Director,  Princess Adeola Atayero Olamijulo, she expressed gratitude to all those whose prayers, called and participated in the release of the activist.

“She thanked all the Beninese lawyers in Cotonou who promptly stepped into the matter for their support.

“Chief Adeyemo is on his way to his destination.

We thank Beninese Government for standing by Yorùbá Nation”.
