The attack was a clear signal that bandits, kidnappers, and terrorists have established their nefarious presence in Yoruba land”.
It is imperative, pertinent, and crucial for all Southwest security and political stakeholders to meet over the crisis to prevent a recurrence of similar incidents and scenarios in any part of Yoruba land.
As a matter of urgency, the relevant security stakeholders in Yorubaland must develop an effective and efficient security framework to provide a lasting solution to the security-related crises throughout Yorubaland.
All hands must be on deck, to apply modern-day technology in a kinetic and non-kinetic manner, to burst all the bandits’ hideouts, kidnappers’ cells, and terrorist strongholds in the forests of Yoruba land.
Dr Aderibole concluded this: “State Police should be established, appropriated, and commissioned as soon as possible. Likewise, South West Governors should not distance themselves from tribal organizations like: OPC, Amotekun, and Yoruba Hunters, that can be of help in tracking, and tackling all the security-related challenges facing Yoruba land”.
