CITIZENS COMPASS—The General Overseer of the Clear Revelation Ministry, Ibadan, Oyo State, Apostle Oluwarotimi Adeyeye, yesterday, said that former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, has all it take to withstand the sitting President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the 2027 general elections.
The Ibadan-based preacher, said Jonathan is free to contest as a presidential hopeful if he wants to.
The cleric once predicted the impeachment and reinstatement of former governor of Oyo State, Rashidi Ladoja,
According to the cleric, Jonathan could return to Aso Rock if he chooses to contest. He said, “God can still bring him back to office once more if Nigeria still stands as a nation.”
The cleric said Jonathan remains a strong contender and could run on the platform of any registered political party.
Addressing a press briefing in the State, Apostle Adeyeye praised Jonathan’s past decisions, especially his refusal to legalise same-sex marriage despite foreign pressure, and his decision to step down peacefully in 2015. “It would have been war and bloodshed if he refused to leave the office,” he added.
Adeyeye recalled warning Jonathan in 2013 that he might be the last PDP president. However, he insisted that divine intervention could still pave the way for Jonathan’s return in 2027.
