
FRSC boss lauds Customs CG on election as Chairperson, World Customs Organization Council
CITIZENS COMPASS–The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has joined the President of the Federal Federal of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in congratulating the Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs (NCS), CG Bashir Adewale Adeniyi on his well deserved historic emergence as Chairperson of the World Customs Organization (WCO) Council.
In a press statement e-signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP) by the Corps Public Education Officer, ACM Olusegun Ogungbemide stated that, “The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed mni, has extended his warmest congratulations to the Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, on his historic emergence as Chairperson of the World Customs Organization (WCO) Council.”
According to the statement, “Expectedly, the Corps Marshal eulogized the Comptroller General’s appointment describing it as a clear recognition of the CG’s dedication, visionary leadership, and passion for excellence, which have repositioned the Nigeria Customs Service as a model of professionalism and efficiency in Africa.”
He stated inter Alia that; “The emergence of CG Bashir Adewale Adeniyi as Chairperson of the WCO Council is not only a personal accomplishment but a national pride. It reflects Nigeria’s competence and the confidence the international community reposes in our capacity to contribute meaningfully to global governance in trade and customs management.”
“In a related development, he also congratulated Nigeria as well as the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) for winning the elections to become the Permanent Secretariat of Africa Association of all Road Safety Lead Agencies (AARSLA).”
“He described the outstanding achievements as another indubitable evidence of Nigeria’s growing influence on the global stage, particularly in customs administration, road safety management, traffic administration and trade facilitation.”
“The Corps Marshal while speaking on the emergence of FRSC as permanent secretariat of AARSLA further revealed that this strategic position will enable the Corps to coordinate road safety initiatives across the African continent, promote best practices, and foster partnerships that will help achieve the United Nations Decade of Action for Road Safety targets.”
“The dual victories of these two prominent Nigerian institutions — the Nigeria Customs Service and the Federal Road Safety Corps — highlight the country’s growing leadership role in both global trade facilitation and continental road safety management.
